National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) 

Absaroka Wilderness, Wyoming 

  • Spent 30 days in the North Absaroka Wilderness of Wyoming learning about survival techniques and “leave-no-trace” wilderness backpacking. 

  • Learned practical outdoor skills, team leadership, and historical and ecological knowledge of the Rocky Mountains. 

  • Gained strong insights into wilderness sustainability, human environmental impacts, and ecosystem preservation.

Employent History 

October 2022 - Present

Natural Resources Careers Fellow  

Maryland Forestry Board Foundation ~ Annapolis, Maryland

  • Researches and writes bi-monthly blog posts to the Maryland Forestry Board's website about relevant environmental issues and topics within forestry. 

  • Tasked with collecting information and reporting on the first foresters of Maryland. Analyzes the history of forestry in Maryland, what original forestry practices looked like in the past, and how these practices and methods have changed during modern times. 

  • Will attend The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) Conference in February 2023 alongside Gabrielle Oldham, the Director of Maryland's NRCC (Natural Resources Careers Camp).

Spring 2022 - Present

Residence Hall Coordinator

St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM) ~ St. Mary's City, Maryland 

  • Oversees 275+ residents to assist with any residential issues and provide support to St. Mary’s students.
  • Supervises 5 Resident Assistants on how to engage peers, build a positive community, and develop as role models while in leadership positions.
  • Conducts interviews with prospective Resident Assistants and Residence Hall Coordinators in order to build a cohesive and hardworking staff for student and residential needs. 
  • Holds weekly staff meetings and relays information from professional staff and other campus resources.

Summer 2022

Nursery Intern

Underwood & Associates ~ Millersville, Maryland

  • Cultivated and harvested native rare and unique plants for stream and wetland restoration projects. 

  • Created informative infographics and researched native plants of the Eastern Shore. 

  • Worked alongside employees of DNR, Maryland Coastal Bays Program, Severn River Keepers, and partners of Underwood and Associates to learn more about wetlands, bogs, and restorative landscape architecture.

Fall 2020 - Spring 2022

Resident Assistant

  • Oversaw 45+ residents and assisted with any residential issues.

  • Filled out work orders and other documentation to ensure resident safety and well-being.

  • Completed weekly RA office duty in order to provide resources and guidance to on-campus residents and peers.

  • Conducted data analysis and photoshopped archeological artifacts to assist with the presentation and organization of findings.

Valley View Farms, Garden Center & Nursery ~ Cockeysville, Maryland​

  • Operated register and interacted directly with customers to complete transactions of patio furniture, garden supplies, nursery items, annuals, perennials, soils, mulch, and aquatic necessities.

  • Assisted in training new employees and helped to create a productive and positive working environment.

  • Provided information to customers about greenhouse and nursery deliveries, variations of plants,

    restocking of new products, and general store information.
